TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The Marvel Rivals Ignite Series Stage 1 will be comprised of 3 following phases:
(a) Ignite Series Stage 1 Open Qualifiers
(b) Ignite Series Stage 1 Groups
(c) Ignite Series Stage 1 Playoffs
The following 5 regions will have separate tournaments taking place online:
(a) Americas (AMER)
(b) Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
(c) Asia (AS)
(d) Oceania (OCE)
(e) China (CN)
Ignite Series Stage 1 Groups
(a) AMER and EMEA Region
The Ignite Series Stage 1 Groups will consist of two (2) weeks of competition in 2 groups for Sixteen (16) Teams qualified through (i) Direct invite, (ii) Open Qualifiers. 16 Teams will be divided into 2 groups by seeding. Each group will play in a double elimination, first-to-two (“Ft2”) match fixture. At the conclusion of the double elimination the top four (4) Teams from each group advance to Ignite Series Stage 1 Playoffs.
(b) AS and CN Region
The Ignite Series Stage 1 Groups will consist of two (2) weeks of competition in 2 groups for twelve (12) Teams qualified through (i) Direct invite, (ii) Open Qualifiers. 12 Teams will be divided into 2 groups by seeding. Each group will play in a round robin, first-to-two (“Ft2”) match fixture. At the conclusion of the round robin, the top four (4) Teams from each group advance to Ignite Series Stage 1 Playoffs.
(c) OCE Region
The Ignite Series Stage 1 Groups will consist of one (1) week of competition for eight (8) Teams qualified through (i) Direct invite, (ii) Open Qualifiers. 8 Teams will be divided into 2 groups by seeding. Each group will play in a round robin, first-to-two (“Ft2”) match fixture. At the conclusion of the round robin, the top three (3) Teams from each group advance to Ignite Series Stage 1 Playoffs.
Ignite Series Stage 1 Playoffs
(a) AMER and EMEA Region
Eight (8) Teams will be invited to the Playoffs for a double elimination bracket. The Upper bracket Quarterfinals match will be played until the first Team to win two (Ft2) maps. The other matches except for the Finals, in the Playoffs will be played until the first Team to win three (Ft3) maps. The Grand Finals Match will be determined by the first Team to win four (Ft4) maps.
(b) AS and CN Region
Eight (8) Teams will be invited to the Playoffs for a double elimination bracket. The Upper bracket Quarterfinals match will be played until the first Team to win two (Ft2) maps. The other matches except for the Finals, in the Playoffs will be played until the first Team to win three (Ft3) maps. The Grand Finals Match will be determined by the first Team to win four (Ft4) maps.
(c) OCE Region
Six (6) Teams will be invited to the Playoffs for a single elimination bracket. Matches except for the Finals, in the Playoffs will be played until the first Team to win three (Ft3) maps. The Grand Finals Match will be determined by the first Team to win four (Ft4) maps.
TOURNAMENT PRIZE POOL
The total prize pool for the Ignite year-round tournament is $3,050,000, with generous prize allocations for each stage of the competition.
TOURNAMENT VERSION AND MAPS
The Ignite 2025 Stage 1 Group stage and Playoffs will use the Season 2.5 version of Marvel Rivals. The maps for Stage 1 of the tournament will include the following:
